PA-CAT COVID-19 Updates
Important Updates About the PA-CAT & COVID-19
As the entire world copes with the detrimental impacts of COVID-19, Exam Master shares the deep concerns of students and educators about the effect that the crisis will have on the current and upcoming admissions cycle. We are working tirelessly with our partners at Prometric Testing Centers and clients at PA programs across the country to ensure that students are able to take the PA-CAT safely starting May 1, 2020.
We will continue to provide updates about the PA-CAT here.
More than 90% of Prometric’s global test center network has resumed operations since having to close for the COVID-19 pandemic. Candidates continue to have the option to take the PA-CAT exam via Prometric’s live remote proctoring system until further. We recommend that test takers schedule as early as possible to ensure seat availability for remote or test center exam delivery.

The PA-CAT program officially launched May 1, 2020. Several hundred candidates have registered for the PA-CAT and many have taken the exam already. Since kicking off during the pandemic, throughout the crisis, the PA-CAT program has continued for both candidates and programs. Our easy to use registration and scheduling process provides candidates the opportunity to register quickly and devote most of their time to preparing for the PA-CAT using our free PA-CAT resources.
Due to restrictions of COVID-19 pandemic being lifted in certain areas, Prometric Testing Centers have resumed testing in test centers where possible and are continuing to monitor local and federal governance. They have implemented modified in-center procedures based on governmental ordinances and advice from the CDC and WHO.
PA-CAT candidates continue to have the option to take the PA-CAT via Prometric’s secure live proctor until further notice. Candidates are encouraged to schedule to take the PA-CAT as soon as possible to ensure the virtual opportunity to take the test.
